He gave an example from a public service, a process which used to take four months is done in one day. Another example was from healthcare sector: in a clinic, the waiting time used to be one and a half hour and now it’s 30 minutes. In a collision shop it used to be 11 days to fix a truck, now the truck is fixed in seven days. Another example from a collision shop: revenue from $400,000 per month has improved to $500,000 per month. In service sector, in a bank, the approval process has been cut down by 40%.

“So Lean can be applied in all the sectors,” Charanjit Singh Bawa concludes.
