About the Six Sigma stream

Six Sigma is about reducing variation — the inconsistency that makes a process unpredictable. The Six Sigma stream teaches the statistical toolkit: measurement systems, process capability, control charts, hypothesis testing and DMAIC. Lean concepts are covered at working level.

Who chooses this stream

Biopharma, nuclear, regulated manufacturing, laboratories — anywhere decisions must be defensible with data and the process must be provably capable.

Our standard proposal
The topics and hours on this page are the QCDMS published curriculum for the Six Sigma stream. This is what we propose, and what an open / public program delivers.

Where a program is delivered in-company, the allocation of hours across these published topics is confirmed with the employer in a written training plan before delivery begins, based on the group’s existing capability. Core topics are delivered in every program. Depth on applied topics is weighted within the published hour range.

What does not change: the curriculum is standard and published, the examination is the same, the pass mark is the same, and the project requirement is the same. The credential means the same thing whoever earns it.
Topic definitions, formulas and statistical methods are identical in every program. They are not developed to order. What varies is the depth given to each published topic and the example process used to illustrate it.

About the training provider
All training is delivered in Ontario, in person, by QCDMS — the operating name of 8598436 Canada Inc.
