Agile Project Management Training

Agile Project Management Training aims to enhance concepts on Agile Project Management (APM) with new practical skills. For project management organizations, they are prompted to use tailoring that includes predictive, incremental, iterative, and adaptive or hybrid approaches. There lies great value in understanding and using agile practices to deliver projects more quickly, with less wasted labor and costs due to misunderstood or ill-defined requirements. This course will expose participants to knowledge of agile principles, practices and tools and techniques across agile methods like Scrum, XP, Lean Six Sigma Software development, Kanban, etc. This workshop will provide the value for adopting the Agile practices in a variety of ways that enable efficient and effective project management in their organization.

Duration: The workshop spans over 3 Days with timings and schedules as suitable to the client. 1 day of additional coaching will be provided at the client site with actual project and project teams.

Cost of the training includes the cost of 3 days training, training material and additional one day of coaching. The topics will be presented in a cogent slideshow over the three days, with class quizzes, interactive discussions, and hands-on exercises.

Goal of Training:

Training of Project Managers to deliver projects, with less wasted labor, costs, at enhanced quality and at speed for total Customer Satisfaction.

This training will include practical exercises, videos, examples, case studies. Trainees will be able to apply lessons into their own settings, right away, to their own projects in the classroom.

Trainees can use these 21 hours of class-room training to receive 21 PMI PDUs and can also apply them as contact hours of formal education required for PMI-ACP certification.
Trainees will still need enough Agile experience (close to 1500 hours, on top of their Project Management hours) and have to pass PMI-ACP exam before getting certified as a PMI – Agile Certified Practitioner. More details are available on PMI website.

Pre-work

  • Homework will be sent 2 weeks ahead of
    the training and trainees will need to complete this pre-work and come prepared.

About Your Coach

Charanjit (CJ) is a passionate, results-driven professional, an enthusiastic public speaker, coach and mentor. He has 23 years of experience in transforming numerous organizations, training and coaching over 3000 individuals (on Lean Six Sigma White, Yellow, Green Belt & Lean Tools).

He supported more than 50 project teams and embedded LEAN Six Sigma in organizations varying from 100 to 7000 employees by acting as a motivator, a trainer, a coach, a mentor and a facilitator. He has coached individuals from all the sectors including healthcare, service, public service, manufacturing and construction.

He gained Lean Six Sigma knowledge while working for HONDA and since then coached or led more than 60 Lean Six Sigma project teams. CJ also led many Quality Circle teams and won best quality award from Honda, Japan.

He is a certified ADKAR Change management professional from Prosci, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from ASQ and a Project management professional from PMI. He believes that “people are limitless” if engaged in a positive manner and can do wonders.
