WHATBuild a Nuclear Reactor with LEGO® — 7 instructional hours over 1 day, in person. An experiential simulation covering project management, Lean, Six Sigma and servant leadership. Capability level: Aware to working.
WHYYour team will experience the difference between chaotic and structured execution first hand, in a single day, and leave with a set of tools they have already used once under pressure.
WHOWhole teams, engineers, technologists, new project managers, supervisors and continuous improvement practitioners. Especially effective as a team-building and onboarding program.
WHEREDelivered in person only, in Ontario — at an open / public venue, or on site at the employer's premises. LEGO® kits, handouts and templates are provided.
WHEN1 full day. The two build rounds and their debriefs must run in sequence, so the day is not divisible.
HOWRound one is run with no planning, no roles and no standards, and the results are measured. The team is then taught the tools and rebuilds in round two. The two sets of results are compared.
HOW MUCH7 instructional hours. Scope of work after the session: apply structured planning, roles, standard work and quality gates to your own team's work.
