Lean Training for Financial Sector Review

The Lean Green Belt training brings great value to the local organizations, helps them to improve the operations and identify the issues with their processes and finds the points of pain. Good processes mean good money but you need to go through the process of pain to achieve something. Through Lean government granted trainings and certification in Toronto (GTA), you will be able to run your organization in a more effective manner by reducing wastes, looking at non-value-added activities and streamlining your processes which will enhance customers satisfaction.

Gustavo D’Sa from Financial Sector thinks that the current Green Belt Training is a very well thought-about program. He thinks it will add great value with the local organizations and help them improve their operations in trying to identify issues with their processes and finding the points of pain and designing good efficient processes.

“I think that the presenter, CJ, is doing a wonderful job,” says Gustavo D’Sa. “He’s very passionate about the whole affair and this actually is the result of years of on-the-job training and experience accumulated with. The literature around the subject is so vast that combining it all together in a few days is rather a very difficult task. However, it’s been done so well, that adds good value to anybody who wants to use it. I’m on this training for myself actually and not even sponsored by the organization, and I think that I find so much value from it that I would personally be able to go to any organization with the skills that I have been developing, and well, I think the local market, the business environment, should take heed of these ideas, no matter how large the organization is.”

“I have been applying these principles in parallel which is serious training and even before that in the environment that I’ve been working in because I have applied it in the banking industry, in different parts of the process a lot,” he continues. “We have gone into centralization, decentralization and process improvements and other things using these principles. However, the trick has been that CJ has combined a whole lot of these theories into one single two plus three days training. Now I have been doing it in bits and pieces but this has provided me with the opportunity to have everything together and the certification offered is valuable because it doesn’t say much except the Lean. It doesn’t confuse it with Six Sigma, it doesn’t confuse it with BPR, it doesn’t confuse it with BPM, so all you know: Lean is Lean, just lose some fat. But then you have to work with that fat loss. I would actually use the process steps for this. Know your processes, know your points of pain and seek to improve. I guess in this case it’s the perception understanding of the recipient.”

Gustavo D’Sa has some background from previous individual parts that he has taken. “I have been lucky enough to benefit from such a situation because I have worked in the environment, however, I needed to get back into the business and upgrade my skills for that. This presentation is a big help. But to an absolute beginner CJ sends out some preparatory information which would be very helpful,” he concludes.
